About Me

My name is Dora Bean. I was born and raised in New Mexico and like to paint, hike, and dance. I just completed my second-year at UNM. I recently switched my degree from Nutrition to Civil Engineering because I am very interested in studying sustainable development and agricultural infrastructure.

I spent last summer in Ecuador working for an NGO centered around economic development. Because I have been to Ecuador once before, I am not especially nervous about this trip. Rather, I am extremely excited and grateful to have another opportunity to explore this amazing country, make new connections, and practice my (very weak) Spanish skills.
